The head of government has been held by numerous positions in the historical Kodiak Republic, but for most of its history, including presently, it has been held by a parliamentary-based Chancellor or Prime Minister. This list is in reverse chronological order for ease of viewing.

Sixth Kodiak Republic

The sixth republic deconstructed the existing bicameral parliament and empowered an executive President. It followed the fall of the Fifth Republic caused by the the failed 503 Forminov Coup Attempt.

Fifth Kodiak Republic

The fifth republic established a bicameral parliament with an executive Chancellor selected from the Senate. The senators were elevated by the General Assembly out of their own. The President was declared ceremonial head of state and emplaced as presiding officer of the Senate.

Fourth Kodiak Republic

The fourth republic re-established a Presidential system similar to the second republic. The office of President was established as Head of Government, and the Chancellor relegated to presiding over the Assembly.

The third republic established the title of Chancellor for the head of government. It maintained the ceremonial President with similar powers to the second republic.

Second Kodiak Republic

Second Constitution

The first revision to the constitution recreated the position of Prime Minister. The President was relegated to a mostly ceremonial position, except for concentration on powers of foreign affairs and defence throughout the final years of the Kodiak Revolution. The Chancellor position in the Assembly was renamed "Premier".
