Resolution: Establishment of an Investigation of Political Extremism and Economic Origins

Whereas, the General Assembly of Kodiak acknowledges the pressing need to address political extremism on both ends of the spectrum.

Whereas, understanding the economic underpinnings of political extremism is essential for fostering societal stability.

Whereas, the establishment of an independent commission, henceforth referred to as "The Extremism Commission," is imperative for conducting a thorough investigation and providing recommendations on addressing political extremism and its economic drivers.

Article 1 - Establishment of Commission

1.1 - The Extremism Commission is hereby established to investigate political extremism on both the left and right, as well as its economic origins.

1.2 - The Commission shall comprise impartial experts in political science, sociology, economics, and related fields, appointed by the General Assembly.

Article 2 - Duties and Powers of The Commission

2.1 - The Extremism Commission shall conduct a comprehensive investigation into the origins, manifestations, and impacts of political extremism on the left and right.

2.2 - Specifically, the Commission shall analyze the economic factors contributing to the rise of political extremism, including income inequality, unemployment, globalization, and socio-economic disparities.

2.3 - The Extremism Commission shall possess the authority to subpoena witnesses, gather evidence, and conduct interviews as necessary to fulfill its mandate.

Article 3 - Funding for The Commission

3.1 - An initial allocation of 50 million Florins is hereby designated to The Extremism Commission for conducting its investigation, covering travel expenses, hiring independent investigators, and other pertinent expenditures.

3.2 - Disbursement of funds allocated to The Extremism Commission shall be executed from the General Assembly's budget upon the passage of this bill.

Article 4 - Reporting Timeline

4.1 - The Extremism Commission shall present its report to the General Assembly within 6 to 12 months from the passage of this bill.

4.2 - The report shall encompass findings, recommendations, and policy proposals aimed at addressing the root causes of political extremism and mitigating its societal impacts.

Article 5 - Implementation

5.1 - The General Assembly shall review The Extremism Commission's report and consider enacting legislation based on its recommendations to combat political extremism and its economic origins.

5.2 - The Extremism Commission shall be dissolved upon submission of its final report, unless otherwise directed by the General Assembly.
