Transportation Minister Fala was dismissed and Health and Education Minister Kovac resigned the cabinet when Chancellor Maltravers refused to have the bill withdrawn.
The breakdown of the coalition saw a tense political atmosphere which culminated in a motion of no confidence in the Chancellor. Maltravers resigned in protest of the motion, bringing the cabinet to an end.
