New National Defense Act (664)

An act to increase defense spending and alter military policy.

Article 1: Expansion of Kodiak Army

The Kodiaker Army is to be drastically expanded with multiple new strategies

Replaces the National Defense Authorization Act, 643, Article 1, Section 1.1 - The Kodiaker Army:

1.1.1 The Kodiak Army is to abolish the hard troops limit to expand to a goal of 500k troops at all times. The Army will remain volunteer, however if the Kodiak Republic is directly attacked on home soil a draft is to be issued to expand the army to 1.2 million men.

1.1.1.1 The Kodiak Army is to subsidize the military-industrial complex through lower taxes and lucrative contracts for companies producing equipment for the Kodiak Army. A specialization is to be placed in tank and auto manufacturers to expand the Kodiak Tank Corp to a total of 3,000 tanks. These tanks are to be kept in storage in secret military complexes for all times of peace. Amends the National Defense Authorization Act, 643, Article 3, Section 3.2:

3.2 The Kodiak Army is to receive 25 billion Florins annually. They are responsible for where the funding goes but they must post an annual budget report to be shown to the General Assembly and the Public.

Article 2: Creation of Kodiak Space Force

A defense force is to be created to defend civilian space interests from outside forces.

Amends National Defense Authorization Act, 643, adding Article 7 - The Space Force:

7.1 The Space Force will be responsible for patrolling space by using the proper spacecraft and satellites to monitor the surrounding space of Kodiak. They are to be banned from spying on neighboring nations and taking place in offensive wars. They are to also be tasked with coming up with a solution to intercept any ballistic missiles heading for Kodiak territory

Amends the National Defense Authorization Act, 643, Article 3, Section 3.7:

3.7 The Kodiak Space Force is to receive 9 billion Florins in funding annually.

Article 3: Expansion of Navy and Airforce

The Navy is to be greatly expanded and strengthened. They are to switch to a carrier based doctrine with the primary capital ships being Nuclear Class Aircraft Carriers.

Amends the National Defense Authorization Act, 643, Article 1, Section 1.2 - The Kodiaker Navy, and repeals Article 1, Section 1.2.3.1:

1.2.1 Naval personnel is to expand to 100,000 with 50,000 in reserve.

1.2.4 Three nuclear aircraft carriers are to be built to serve as the base of operations for the Kodiak Navy. They are to be backed by Missile Destroyers and Stealth Frigates. These are to be build by subsidiaries to Kodiak based companies through a design competition overseen by the Navy.Amends the National Defense Authorization Act, 643, Article 2, Section 2.3 - Air Force Programs:

2.3.4New Multirole Stealth fighters are to be built to be used as the new primary fighter of the air forces. The Naval Air Corp and Kodiak Airforce is to oversee a corporate competition of which Kodiak company can produce the best stealth jet.

Amends the National Defense Authorization Act, 643, Article 3, Section 3.3:

3.3 The Navy is to receive 65 billion Florins In funding which will be overseen by the Navy. They must publish a annual budget report to the public.
