The National Defense Authorization Act Amendment

Passed by the General Assembly on 15 February 663. 16 AYE, 3 NAY, 2 ABSTAIN.
An amendment to increase funding for the armed forces of Kodiak.

Article 1

1.1. Article 1 shall be amended thus:

1.1.1 - The Active Army shall be authorized end strength of 170,000 personnel of all ranks.

1.1.1.1 - 12th Armored Brigade shall be reconstituted at Joint Base (JB) Rykkbugh as 12th Armored Division.

1.1.1.2 - 17th Airborne Brigade and 100th Air Assault Brigade shall be reconstituted as 17th Infantry Division (Airborne).

1.1.1.3 - 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized) shall be constituted at JB Taiping.

1.1.1.4 - 7th Infantry Division (Mechanized) shall be constitued at JB Mengtian.

1.1.2 - The Organized Reserve shall be authorized 310,000 personnel of all ranks.

1.1.2.1 - The maximum Organized Reserve personnel on Active Duty during peacetime is capped at 85,000 personnel of all ranks.

1.1.2.2 - 8th Infantry Division (Mechanized) (Reserve) shall be constituted at Rykkburg.

1.1.2.3 - 11th Armored Division (Reserve) shall be constituted at JB Taiping.

1.1.2.4 - 14th Infantry Division (Reserve) shall be constituted at JB Astroberg.

1.2. Article 2 shall be amended thus:

2.1 - Army Programmes

2.1.1 – Five-year procurement authority for Modernized Attack Helicopter Program '52.

2.1.2 - Five-year procurement authority for modernisation of infantry weapon and equipment '55.

2.1.3 - five-year procurement authority for modernisation of vehicles, light armour, and main battle tanks '55.

2.1.4 - Five-year procurement authority for long ranged missiles, rockets and artillery '52.

2.2 - Navy Programmes

2.2.1 - incrementation of modernisation of current destroyers '52.

2.2.2 - Five-Year procurement of new domestic frigate design '57.

2.2.3 - Five-year procurement of new domestic corvette design '42.

2.3 - Air Force Programmes

2.3.1 - Five-year procurement authority for support and transportation assets '52.

2.3.2 - incremental modernisation of current multirole fighter design '52.

2.3.3 - Strategy for Integrated Air Defense Command Systems.

2.3.5 – Strategy for the establishment of an Anti-Missile Defense System.

1.3. Article 3 shall be amended thus:

3.1 - The Ministry of Defense authorization for Defense Spending is set at ₣45 billion per year, equating to ₣11.25 billion per quarter.

3.2 – The Army budget is adjusted to ₣9.75 billion per year, or ₣2.4375 billion per quarter.

3.3 – The Navy budget is adjusted to ₣5.775 billion per year, or ₣1.44375 billion per quarter.

3.4 – The Air Force budget is adjusted to ₣7.6 billion per year, or ₣1.9 billion per quarter.

3.5 – The Coast Guard budget is adjusted to ₣4.375 billion per year, or ₣1.09375 billion per quarter.

3.6 – The Military Research Institute budget is adjusted to ₣1.75 billion per year, or ₣437.5 million per quarter.

3.7 - in the time of a crisis and extra ₣500 million one time expenditure shall be granted for the purposes of training additional men and other necessities thereof.
