I would like to present to the Assembly a new appointment for Deputy President. It is conceivable that I may be uncontactable for a short period of time in the near future and the happenings of the Assembly will need to continue.
I shall be appointing @Klaus Mikaelson as Deputy President for the remainder of the term. I ask for your approval please.
Conventionally and Traditionally, appointments are immediate (while temporary subject to approval) and thus the member has been elevated presently. A denial would still effectively remove the Deputy.

I will just say that I have served in similar positions in any number of regions throughout my career, time and time again. I believe that I can help support the President in his duties when needed and therefore provide a valuable service to the region. If anyone has any questions for me concerning this post, please let me know

Asden has been caught in violation of the Code of Conduct Act 629 [1] by griefing members from a community space (The NS RMB) with multiple fake accounts, as well as setting up a puppet region from which to 'hate' Kodiak (https://www.nationstates.net/region=the_kodiak_autocracy). While participating in the moderation response to these 'sock puppet' accounts, Asden also encouraged the admin to continue an investigation into another innocent member regarding the griefing.
The admin team believe that Asden has been a value-adding member of the community, and his foray into fake accounts likely does not overshadow the work he has been doing up to this point. It is the discretion of the head admin (me) to vet punishment for community and conduct violations. I provide for the house in my role as Admin a vote to help guide what the community would prefer the moderation response against New Asden should be.
His public apology is thus:
Hello. As you already know, I was the troll who made three accounts (Corwin and both soxanys). From the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry for this. Relationships don’t have any foundation without trust, and as of now, we do not have any trust. I don’t know why I did it. Although for me it seemed fun and entertaining at the moment, it was not funny nor entertaining for me or any of y’all. Any action has a consequence, and I hope you know I am facing them. I lead a couple people on, and that was wrong. I fell embarrassed, ashamed, and I don’t even feel like I should remain in the kodiak. But our great leaders have given me a second chance to prove that I am a great,mature young man who wants to take part in the hive ember for the better of our region. I ask that you forgive me, and let’s move on from this together as one. Thank you for your time and good morning to you all.

The poll has closed and I thank the members of our community for your input. I'm sure we've seen over the last handful of days that Asden has gone to great lengths to be more prosocial. I want to at least partially admonish him and note that participation in our community is not a zero-sum game, that anti-social behaviour is not magically reversed by pro-social behaviour. I reflect, as an administrator, that I have at least some concern that there isn't really an accurate consequence to fit the behaviour here. That full forgiveness isn't fair to the community, and that some sort of extended punishment would be callous. I am inclined to believe that this mistake is the result of youthful immaturity, and that the threat of Asden revisiting this behaviour is low. I, and many of the members here, have forgiven Asden for his inflaming behaviour. I like Asden, but I want to make it very clear as a protector of this community: if there is any evidence Asden is operating further sock-puppet accounts in secret (even i
f they are kind or helpful), I will not hesitate to banish him permanently. Kodiak is raised onto four philosophical pillars; equality, democracy, community, and integrity. Flaming, greifing, and lying show a lack of integrity and endanger our community, and sock-puppetry endangers our democracy. I have faith that Asden will not make this mistake again and that he will be a valuable member of our community moving forward.

I’d like to thank everyone for letting me stay in the region and the discord. I acknowledge that I have made some very immature and distressing actions that were to hurt the kodiak. I kindly thank every member of the assembly for unanimously voting not to banish me. Though our past actions do not determine our future, we cannot forget the past. As a a Kodiaker (or yeeklak, I think that’s what you call it) I hereby swear to protect equality, democracy, community, and the integrity of all those associated with us. I will never put forth this behavior so long as I live. Thank your it your time and good evening to you all

Asden, I don't really understand the reasoning behind what you did, I agree with Ulrykk that this was a spring of immaturity, but I feel like these are good learning experiences. I think this is a strange thing to do to begin with, but I have faith you won't do something like this again.
