The National Budget
Public Secretary's Summary - While the global economy has only barely qualified as "warm" within the last six months, the Kodiak Economy has improved greatly. Considerable economic output has been generated by the nationalisation of Energy and Water and wages appear to be very slowly ticking upwards. While the national debt has increased in nominal terms, our Debt-to-GDP ratio has dropped by nearly one third. While there is still considerable work to be done to solve many of the social issues in Kodiak, this is the first time since the redevelopment of government that real substantive change appears to be taking place.
The National Debt
The National Debt stands at approximately ₣ 235.96 Billion with a Debt/GDP ratio of 16%.
Our predicted Deficit this year stands at approximately ₣ 4.88 Billion.
This will increase the National Debt to approximately ₣ 240.8 billion.
Our Sovereign Credit rating has been assessed by the World Bank as AAA.
Interest on the debt assessed at 1.70% and is expected to cost ₣ 4.00 Billion which represents 4.3% of annual expenditure.
