Ulrykk von Guelderlaand — 18/11/2021 Passing a bill that increases road infrastructure spending can be made to cost anywhere from a measly 60 million florins up to 3.2 billion per quarter. I should note the funding is in perpetuity, as any infrastructure upgrades will also require maintenance, upkeep, and continued engineering. Increasing spending on road infrastructure is expected to add jobs, increase happiness of people with cars, and increase Car usage generally (as well as CO2). It should decrease car congestion, unless the amount of usage increases higher than the decrease in congestion, in which case the increased road usage will make gridlock worse. Currently, road infrastructure is costing 1.04 billion per quarter with a proscription on gazetting new highways. This amounts to ~5% of total government expenditures.
