My colleagues of the General Assembly, and fellow citizens of the Kodiak Republic, your trust and collective spirit have not only propelled us to domestic achievement, but has elevated our nation on the international stage. We have been bestowed the honor of presiding over the United Regions Alliance in the face of financial turbulence. We have brought our budget back under control. We have ensured public industries like railways exist to serve you, the public, and we have safeguarded our essential government services through careful fiscal management. We embarked upon a journey of collaboration with the Kodiak Workers Party and the Democratic Progressive Party, and have forged a cross party coalition that has steered our nation towards stability.
We have revitalized our economic structures by regulating the central bank, by eliminating payroll taxes and unburdening business, and encouraging growth. Your confidence has enabled me to extend the Kodiaker spirit beyond our borders, channeling investments into diplomacy in foreign affairs, feeding vital foreign investment back into our homeland. Our leadership in the URA is not merely symbolic. It has transformed international engagements into economic opportunities and has projected the Kodiak Republic as a pivotal player on the international stage.
We will strengthen our economic foundations by nurturing entrepreneurial spirit and empowering small and medium sized businesses, fortifying these as the backbone of our national prosperity. Our roadmap includes boosting defense spending to safeguard Kodiak amidst the escalating regional instability, ensuring that our people and our interests remain secure and unthreatened. Drawing from our surge in educational attainment, our eyes are set upon developing an economically viable tech industry, creating jobs, and establishing the Kodiak Republic as a hub of innovation and technological advancement. Our coalition has demonstrated the power of unity, but as we gaze into the future, it is imperative that a singular and steadfast vision guides us through the upcoming challenges. The National Unity Party stands ready and equipped with the experience and resolve to steer the Kodiak Republic toward a future of prosperity and stability.
Each achievement, every stride on the international stage, every future endeavor is a testament to the indomitable spirit of every Kodiak or citizen. Your aspirations sculpt our policies, and your trust guides our government into action. Let us march forward under the banner of the National Unity Party, towards a future where our domestic and international endeavors meld into a narrative of prosperity, stability, and collective growth. Your dreams, your aspirations, your unwavering spirit shall always be the linchpin of my government and its actions. Together, we will ensure that the Kodiak Republic does not merely navigate the winds of time, but instead soars high as a symbol of stability, prosperity and unity in our region and on the world stage.
This election day, vote Magnus Ward. Vote for the National Unity Party. Vote for a United Kodiak. Thank you.
President
Jonn Stevens (DPPK)
Hello citizens of Kodiak, I would like to announce my intention to run for reelection to the office of president. It has been an eventful few years but Iβm proud to say that we are finally getting back on our feet. The assembly is back in working order and is as effective as ever and I would like to continue this. During my presidency we have seen the assembly return to work, we have seen bills triumph and fail. We have seen billβs edited and revised for the betterment of the people. We have seen the assembly going back to its job to help the common citizen of Kodiak. This if anything is what i am proud of with my term, the assembly being effective again and working towards the common good. We have seen bills being added to the queue almost immediately after being proposed. This is another thing I am proud of with this term, the speed in which I am able to queue bills, bring them to a vote and have debate be recorded. I would like to continue this with a second term. I would like the chance to continue to run this assembly smoothly and clearly. And with a fair hand, so with that I would like to humbly ask for a second term serving this assembly and this nation. and I also would like to thank the people who got me here in the first place, my family and the citizens of Kodiak themselves. And With that I humbly ask assembly members and the people of Kodiak alike for there vote.
Braughn Kyros (KWP)
Good evening, esteemed and honorable members of the General Assembly of the Serene Republic of Kodiak.
Our Republic has been through years of trial, hardship, and difficulty. Our people need strong leadership to navigate the dark waters of this crisis. That is why I am happy to announce my candidacy for President of the General Assembly of the Serene Republic of Kodiak.
Order is vital to the process of the Assembly. It is the basic duty of the President to maintain and ensure order on the floor. As your President, I pledge myself to the correct and legal ordering of this body. Fairness and justice will be the supports to this effort. I pledge to protect the rights of the legislature and the duties of my Presidency will be to maintain our democracy first and foremost. Our floor is the front line in the war against disorder. My oath is to uphold order and process. This is the Kryos promise.
Recent events have revealed that our democracy requires reform and defense. I pledge myself to the defense of due process, the promotion of controlled, focus, and fair debate, and the right for every member of our Assembly to speak. No consideration will be given to anyone based on party line, ministerial position, or political stance. The coalition will not function without cooperation and cannot cooperate without a level field of play. This is the Kryos promise.
Action is required to run a nation. While this past term has been far more active than the dark days of the last, there is still work to be done. Bills must be proposed and debated in a timely fashion. The Standard Procedures must be followed to the letter of the law. It is the duty of the President to see to this. However, I will take it as my duty to ensure that, additionally, members are encouraged to make their ideas a reality. Mentoring and encouraging the creation of bills for the betterment of the entire Republic will become a focus of my Presidency. This is the Kryos promise.
Thank you for your time, ladies and gentlemen. I am open for questions at any time and welcome any inquiries about my campaign promises
