Tiberius Arthur Brown (born 19 May 641) is a Kodiaker politican and Member of the General Assembly for Bethaven.
History
Early Life
Born to working class parents, Brown was educated in Bethaven. Brown became a member of the Kodiak Workers' Party at eighteen; the Brown family were ardent supporters of the KWP and campaigned for Braughn Kryos during his tenure. Brown earned a scholarship to attend the University of Sjokalade. Intially studying for a medcial degree, Brown became radicalized by the socialist elements within UoS. Dropping out of university in 661, Brown became heavily involved with the foundation and promotion of the People's Vanguard.
Participation in the Kodiak Commmune (663-667)
In early 663, Brown was sent to Bethaven to radicalize and organize unions belonging to the budding industrial-working class people of Bethaven. At the start of the Communist rising in November of 663, Brown attempted to leave his post and return to Crystal City, hoping to prepare for the major uprising there. However, his request was denied by his superiors, as they wished him to remain in Bethaven. Unable to leave and join the front lines, Brown organized a large demonstration to take place in the center of Bethaven. The riot, which damaged the town center and caused a counter-protest, was condemned by the KWP within Bethaven. Disgusted by the lack of solidarity, Brown continued to attempt to organize the labor unions in Bethaven, but failed to effect any further action.
By 666, it was clear that the Commune had failed. Brown began to distance himself from the Commune in order to avoid prosecution. Although he had only traveled to the Commune once to visit friends in Sjokalade, he feared that his association would lead to arrests and a trial. However, he managed to avoid any legal action. After the Commune fell, Brown experienced a serious depressive episode and began to reconsider membership within the People's Vanguard. Temporarily resigning from local party leadership, Brown traveled to Crystal City to inspect the damage after the surrender of the Kodiak Commune. While there, Brown met William Barber, newly designated leader of the People's Vanguard.
Entry into National Politics (669-present)
Rekindling his fervor for the socialist cause, Brown returned to Bethaven and began campaigning to gain support for the People's Vanguard. Although he met great resistance at first, Brown's powerful speaking and the rise of the working class within Bethaven earned him both respect and votes. Although defeated in his first election run in 669, he beat out both the National Unity Party and two independent candidates. Unable to overcome the popularity of Braughn Kryos, Brown continued to campaign and raise support. The KWP's erroding popularity quickly plumetted following Kryos's retirement announcement. With increasing support from the working class in Bethaven and even some rural constituents, Brown rose to victory in the 672 General Elections, taking his seat on the 27th of January. Brown quickly became a member of the People's Socialist Vanguard, the General Assembly's branch of the People's Vanguard.
