A Non-Interference Treaty between the nations of The Kodiak Republic and Wintercrest.
Preamble We, the undersigned representatives of the Kodiak Republic and Wintercrest, hereby affirm our commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and mutual respect between our nations. This Non-Interference Treaty is established to promote harmonious relations and to safeguard the sovereignty of both parties.
Article 1 - Definition of The Non-Interference Treaty
- 1.1 - Non-Interference: Each party agrees to refrain from any form of political, military, or economic interference in the internal affairs of the other party. This includes, but is not limited to, espionage, covert operations, and any actions that may disrupt the domestic stability of either nation.
Article 2 - Mutual Respect for Sovereignty
- 2.1 - Recognition of Sovereignty: Both nations acknowledge and respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
- 2.2 - Cultural Exchange: The parties encourage cultural exchanges and diplomatic discussions that foster understanding and cooperation while adhering to the principles of non-interference.
Article 3 - Conflict Resolution
- 3.1 - Dispute Resolution Procedure: In the event of a disagreement or misunderstanding regarding the interpretation and/or implementation of this treaty, both parties agree to engage in peaceful negotiations to settle the dispute. Selected representatives from both sides will communicate with each other in a secure place and an agreed observer shall document all dialogue. A copy of the document containing the dialogue will be sent to both regions.
- 3.2 - Mediation: Should negotiations fail, either party may request third-party mediation, provided that both parties agree on the mediator.
Article 4 - Duration and Amendments
- 4.1 - Duration: This treaty shall remain in effect for an initial period of ten (10) years from the date of signing. It may be renewed upon mutual agreement.
- 4.2 - Amendments: Any amendments to this treaty must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
Article 5 - Ratification
- 5.1 - Ratification Process: This treaty shall enter into force upon ratification by both parties according to their respective legal procedures.
