The Army

Section 1: Formation
- 1.1 - It is the intent of General Assembly to provide an Army that is capable, in conjunction with the other armed forces, of-
- preserving the peace and security, and providing for the defense, of the Kodiak Republic and any areas occupied by the Kodiak Republic;
- supporting the national policies;
- implementing the national objectives; and
- overcoming any nations responsible for aggressive acts that imperil the peace and security of the Kodiak Republic
- 1.2 - In general, the Army, includes land combat and service forces and such aviation and water transport as may be organic therein. It shall be organized, trained, and equipped primarily for prompt and sustained combat incident to operations on land. It is responsible for the preparation of land forces necessary for the effective prosecution of war except as otherwise assigned and, in accordance with integrated joint mobilization plans, for the expansion of the peacetime components of the Army to meet the needs of war.
- 1.3 - The Army consists of-
- the Regular Army, the Organized Reserve, and the provincial Standby Defense Forces; and
- all persons appointed or enlisted in, or conscripted into, the Army without component.
- 1.4 - The organized peace establishment of the Army consists of all-
- military organizations of the Army with their installations and supporting and auxiliary elements, including combat, training, administrative, and logistic elements; and
- members of the Army, including those not assigned to units;
Section 2: Regulations
- 2.1 - The Executive Chancellor may prescribe regulations for the government of the Army.
Section 3: Authorized Strength
- 3.1 - The Regular Army shall be authorized 100,000 personnel of all ranks
- 3.2 - General Officers in the Regular Army shall not exceed 75/10,000 personnel
Section 4: The Regular Army
- 4.1 - The Regular Army is the component of the Army that consists of persons whose continuous service on active duty in both peace and war is contemplated by law, and of retired members of the Regular Army.
- 4.2 - The Regular Army includes-
- the officers and enlisted members of the Regular Army;
- the professors, director of admissions, and cadets of the Rykkburgh Military Academy; and
- the retired officers and enlisted members of the Regular Army.
Section 5: Rank
- 5.1 - The commissioned ranks in the Army are the following:
- Field Marshal
- General
- Lieutenant General
- Major General
- Colonel
- Lieutenant Colonel
- Major
- Captain
- Lieutenant 1st Class
- Lieutenant 2nd Class
- 5.2 - The enlisted ranks in the Army below Lieutenant 2nd Class are:
- Sergeant Major
- Sergeant 1st Class
- Sergeant
- Corporal
- Lance Corporal
- Private 1st Class
- Private 2nd Class
- Recruit
Section 6: Basic Branches
- 6.1 - The Minister of Defense may assign members of the Army to its basic branches. The basic branches are-
- Infantry;
- Armor;
- Artillery;
- Corps of Engineers;
- Signal Corps;
- Adjutant General's Corps;
- Quartermaster Corps;
- Finance Corps;
- Ordnance Corps;
- Chemical Corps;
- Transportation Corps;
- Military Police Corps; and
- such other basic branches as the Defense Minister considers necessary.
