@R. Henry Welch, III [NUP] I forgot to make it a treaty, my bad. Was doing it on my phone. @Assembly Member this is up for debate. I personally think this should swiftly be voted on and done with by tomorrow. N/A — 04/23/2024 9:49 PM No objections. Liam Harrison [KWP] — 04/23/2024 9:54 PM (( As gameside is down, may we get a brief overview of the other nations? )) The Walbard Union has the eternal gratitude of all of Crystal City, myself included, as their help was essential in liberating the City from the Commune. As such, I wholeheartedly support anything which binds us closer to them. Also, I am by no means implying spurious intent, but I would like to ask why no mention of this was made before now? R. Henry Welch, III [NUP] — 04/23/2024 10:00 PM Both communities are small compared to Kodiak, but (and without being dismissive) generic monarchies with empowered monarchs as head of state and a democratic legislatures. Iris is working to integrate some of the RP elements that Kodiak currently utilises, though they don't have a simulation to base it upon. Walbard Union were previously embassied with Kodiak in the olden times and they were drawn to us upon their recent re-invigoration.

What I like about this organisation is that it provides us an opportunity to develop our FA RP as well as bring other communities into it. It also provides opportunity for us to project soft power by bringing other communities into one another for regular meetings.

As to why there was no mention before now is because it wasn't our creation. While I in facto wrote the final draft of the treaty, the organisation was the brainchild of the Walbard Union and discussions were held in our embassy there. It required all three governments to agree to the text before it could be brought up here. Cabinet had some knowledge of the ongoing talks but overall other than the Chancellor's approval of the language, it was the three negotiators that did most of the work I can't say with certainty if either Iris or Walbard will be active still in two years time, but this organisation can also increase in size (and hopefully does) and hopefully provides some new opportunities to show Kodiak off where the URA cannot Liam Harrison [KWP] — 04/23/2024 10:03 PM Excellent, this treaty has my full support. Faralana (Joe Fala, DPPK) — 04/23/2024 10:06 PM I have no problems with the bill R. Henry Welch, III [NUP] — 04/23/2024 10:06 PM IC RP there can be some mish mash about both being monarchies, not necessarily congruent with Kodiak's ideals - but given the nature of the organisation I don't think that matters because its not about an alliance, its just a cooperation treaty Dr Edmund Cosmo Maltravers — 04/24/2024 3:27 AM No objections from me. Alexander Paramount (NUP) — 04/24/2024 3:39 AM I have no objection as well Jack Williams (DPPK) OP

Are we moving to a vote? R. Henry Welch, III [NUP] — 04/24/2024 5:55 AM While I don't mind voting early, I believe the standing orders require 72 hours minimum before a vote may be called Jack Williams (DPPK) OP

Ah ok. Apologies Tobias Virstürm (DPPK) — 04/24/2024 3:08 PM If I remember correctly in the SRPGA treaties only require to be put up within 24 hours and can be voted on within the same week. I guess the language of the 72 hours is for proposals which I guess it may fall under. Could use some clarifying now that I think of it. R. Henry Welch, III [NUP] — 04/25/2024 9:31 AM looking closer at the standing rules, I think you may be right. It is written in such a way that the minimum appears not to apply to treaties If the current @Assembly President agrees, I would also support a motion to vote. Tobias Virstürm (DPPK) — 04/25/2024 9:33 AM I would also support a motion. Jack Williams (DPPK) OP
