@Assembly Member The debate regarding the executive government's proposed resolution to progress the investigation of Wintercrest's involvement with the civil war is now open.

I would like to invite @Jack Benjamin (KSDP) to provide his opening remarks.

Jack Benjamin (KSDP) — 09/24/2024 9:22 PM Assembly members,

This panel will be crucial into finding out if truly Wintercrest had any involvement or not. This will allow the government to further examine the evidence that was formerly gathered during 669-670. I think it is time we all finally get answers and get to the bottom of it and determine if they had involvement or not.I look forward to the questions you all may have.

Coleman Ryle — 09/24/2024 9:24 PM Where’s the money?

J.F. Sassoon [SHRIMP] — 09/24/2024 9:24 PM I support this bill.

I would like to see the panel include civilian members too rather than just police and military.

Jack Benjamin (KSDP) — 09/24/2024 9:34 PM That can happen.

Good to hear your agreement, Minister Benjamin!

What does the Minister and the General Assembly think about putting a time limit on the review? We don't want this to drag on for an unlimited about of time.

Jack Williams (KSDP) — 09/24/2024 9:41 PM I can agree to that. Since I co-authored this bill, I thought I’d pop in. This resolution could use some minor tweaks. Like a time limit and maybe some civilian personnel.

Jack Williams (KSDP) — 09/24/2024 9:49 PM Edits have been made

Antonio Recio Rufián [SHRIMP] — 09/24/2024 9:50 PM A time limit sounds good, it's not like we're gonna investigate this matter forever until the Assembly remembers to stop it

Excellent!

Billy-Club Barber (PSV) — 09/25/2024 7:27 AM Ultimately this resolution is simply a scape goating exercise to find a reason to blame a foreign entity instead of the failed policies of this chambre.

Its already a known reality that the People's Republic of Wintercrest supported the Commune because they supported the rights of Kodiak Workers and supported the cause of Socialism.

And it should be no surprise, given that this house also authorised the use of foreign interference from an imperialist regressive monarchy to support this 'democratic' state from the Empire of Walbard.

Perhaps before turning your eyes outward, this house should spend some time reflecting on how its own policies created the situations which ultimately led to war. Blaming Wintercrest for helping one side won't do that.

J.F. Sassoon [SHRIMP] — 09/25/2024 7:27 AM You would say that, Butcher Jr.

Billy-Club Barber (PSV) — 09/25/2024 7:27 AM I did say that.

J.F. Sassoon [SHRIMP] — 09/25/2024 7:01 PM I motion to vote, Madame President.

Redmin P. Apple (SHRIMP) — 09/25/2024 9:22 PM I second

Billy-Club Barber (PSV) — 09/25/2024 9:24 PM its only been a day

Jack Williams (KSDP) — 09/25/2024 9:40 PM I third

Jack Benjamin (KSDP) — 09/25/2024 9:44 PM I fourth the motion

Redmin P. Apple (SHRIMP) — 09/25/2024 9:44 PM As I see both sides of the Assembly agree on this matter and modifications deemed good were made I don't see anything other than that which would need more debating... Except your dissatisfaction because we are investigating something that you deem unnecessary, when we have to find more answers.

Tiberius Brown — 09/25/2024 10:03 PM Seems rather hasty to forego the standard rules of the assembly for a non-emergent bill.

I'd like to give this a couple more days to ensure as many members have seen it. While I doubt there will be much more revision, let's not make it a habit to rush a bill as soon as it's on the floor. Additionally, debates need to be held for at least 72 hours if the rule has not been suspended.

Joseph Fala (KSDP) — 09/25/2024 10:53 PM Madam President, I would like to call on a motion in regards to Article V to suspend the rules of Clause 3.4 and just start the voting process

Antonio Recio Rufián [SHRIMP] — 09/25/2024 10:54 PM I think that said article has been overused this year in comparison to previous ones.

Tiberius Brown — 09/25/2024 10:57 PM Why?

Joanna Sousa KWP (Juliette) OP

— 09/25/2024 11:25 PM

I've given my position, but I will not deny you making a motion for me to review - however you really need a reason rather than just requesting a suspension.

Joseph Fala (KSDP) — 09/26/2024 12:32 AM I withdraw my motion

Joanna Sousa KWP (Juliette) OP

— 09/27/2024 12:15 AM

As (72 hours, RL time) has passed, unless there is more meaningful debate to be had in the next (24 hours), I will accept the previous motions to vote.

J.F. Sassoon [SHRIMP] — 09/27/2024 12:17 AM I motion to vote

Joanna Sousa KWP (Juliette) OP

— 09/27/2024 12:18 AM

The previous motions have been accepted, you don't need to motion again.

Dakota Bones (SHRIMP) — 09/27/2024 12:35 AM I also motion to vote!

Jack Williams (KSDP) — 09/27/2024 3:21 AM I second the motions

Arnold Malcolm (KSDP) — 09/27/2024 1:10 PM I third the motions.
