THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
WITH 19 AYE, 2 NAY, 2 ABSTAINS

A resolution by the General Assembly to establish a national holiday and day of remembrance.

WHEREAS the nation has overcome the Ryle Coup and prevailed against the forces of tyranny,

ARGUING for the importance of honouring and commemorating the sacrifices made by Kodiakers who fought for national unity and democratic ideals,

NOTING that the establishment of a Democracy Day shall serve as a symbol of unity, resilience, and justice,

BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GRAND ASSEMBLY OF THE MOST SERENE REPUBLIC OF KODIAK ESTABLISHES THE FOLLOWING NATIONAL HOLIDAY:

Article I: Democracy Day,

A National Bank holiday to be celebrated annually on October 10. The holiday shall serve as a day of remembrance for democracy and the lives lost defending it. This day shall be marked by solemn ceremonies, speeches, and acts of remembrance by local and national administrations across the country to ensure the crisis of democracy Kodiak endured will never be forgotten.
