President Checklist

Hello President!

This is a simple checklist to help guide you on processes while you are getting used to your new role. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out on discord and past Presidents will be able to help!

Checklist

Proposals

• MGAs will submit proposals in #ga-president
• If you are satisfied that it conforms to the law code and GA standards for bills then:

• Add to Proposed Laws in the appropriate queue

• If not, you may reject it but tell the MGA why and how they can fix it.

Debates

• Move new bills to debates accordingly to queue logic in Proposed Laws.
• Ensure the first post has the following information:

• Who submitted the bill
• The title
• Preamble (optional)
• A link to the bill

• Pin the original message so it is easily accessible
• Ping/@ all MGAs when you declare the debate is open

Votes

• Use /timepoll
• Ensure the vote is Anonymous and uses buttons, runs for 72 hours, is role scoped to @Assembly Member
• Ensure the voting options are Aye, Nay, Abstain
• Proof read before submitting
• Announce results on conclusion

Admin

• Move bills to Legislative Archive according to whether they passed or failed
• Add vote record to the top of the bill (see Bill Proposal)
• Copy paste the entire discord debate into the 'Discussion' section of the bill
• Update the law code, ensure you reference the bill appropriately
