An act to promote national and international gastronomic tourism across all of Kodiak.

Article One - Law Code Introduction

Creates Section Six - Gastronimic Tourism under Chapter 9, Culture and Tourism in Title V - Commerce and Labour

Section Six - Gastronomic Tourism

Local Gastronomy Prizes and Promotion

6.1 - Local gastronomy from all across Kodiak will be promoted through social media and online advertising, allowing for culinary culture to flourish and be recognized internationally. Local government tourism agencies and departments will be tasked with promoting them in social media, government websites and other means of communication.
6.2 - National and regional competitions between cities for "best dishes" shall be held in order to further promote the culinary prowess of our nation, where prizes will be given to the restaurants and locals who cooked the winner foods. Prizes may vary.
6.3 - Local goverment tourism agencies and departments may create agreements with local businesses in order to suggest their locations in guides, focusing on businesses who use locally sourced products and who represent the local culinary traditions of the city or town.

Wine Tourism Promotion

6.4 - Winery businesses and vineyard farms will be allowed to work with the Ministry of Commerce and Laabour under a new program, Kodiak Wine Experiences, in which these businesses shall receive subsidies in order to better suit their installations for eco-friendly, digitalized and high quality touristic services for affluent visitors. Efforts for attracting new costumers, ensuring the loyalty of said costumers and providing attractive offers will be valued as reasons for higher priority in these subsidies.

Food Festivity Promotion

6.5 - Local festivities which are related to food culture will be a big aim for promoting, suggesting that schools and high schools, local governments and media all share their traditions and promote them in order for the locals and for tourists to take part in these traditions respectfully and with cultural exchange in mind.

Culinary Tourism Marketing Plan

5.6 - A new section of the Kodiak Tourism Festival shall be opened, relating to a great variety of traditional Kodiak dishes which greatly represent the locals. A total of 5 new posts in the Festival will be avaliable for the culinary section, with 1 of the posts reserved for the most well-known dishes of Kodiak that represent what our food is to the world and to our nation.

Article 2 - Procedural Budget

2.1 - The funding for the promotion of local gastronomy in social media and tourist agencies will be a total of ₣20.000.000 annually.
2.2 - The funding for the food competitions will be a total of ₣5.000.000 annually.
2.3 - The funding for the winery businesses subsidies will be a total of ₣40.000.000 annually.
2.4 - The funding for the festivity promotions will be a total of ₣35.000.000 annually.
