Amendment to the Standing Rules of the General Assembly, 670

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE MOST SERENE REPUBLIC OF KODIAK:

NOTING the lack of procedure for a Vote of No-Confidence against an incumbent government.

REMEMBERING the mishandling and improper procedure in the previous attempt at a Vote of No-Confidence.

HEREBY shall amend the Standing Rules and Procedures of the General Assembly to add said procedure.

Article VI - Vote of No-Confidence Procedure

6.1 - A motion shall be presented in #ga-president with the terms of No-Confidence in the incumbent administration. The tabled motion shall also follow the procedure as set by Article 3. It shall have the utmost priority.
6.2 - Debate shall be open for a minimum of 72 hours.
6.3 - Once debate has concluded, voting shall commence as set by Article 4, bar Section 4.2.
6.3.1 - For the purposes of a Vote of No-Confidence, 4.2 shall be overridden.
6.3.2 - The question put to vote shall strictly be: Has the General Assembly lost confidence in the current administration?
6.3.3 - Strictly three options will be available: 1) Aye, 2) Nay, and 3) Abstain.
6.4 - If a motion is successful at achieving a simple majority, an election amongst the General Assembly shall occur.
6.4.1 - Parties shall have a period of 48 hours to present their respective candidates, at which point a vote shall be held for 72 hours.
6.4.2 - The chancellor removed by the Vote of No-Confidence shall be barred from running.
