How is everyone doing! We are here in beautiful Northern San Chico at my former Estate which is now known as the San Chico Children's Hospital after I gave it to the city two years ago. The Estate has been in the family for over 60 years and I am happy to see it being in use for the city serving our next generations of Kodiakians better than I ever could. As many of you are worried that I am retiring, that day has not come yet. I am sure there are few dozen people at the capital, especially the Chancellor who would love to see me walk away, however my time has not come. Today I am declaring my intent to run for the Chancellorship of this great nation. I was given the pleasure 4 years ago to serve in this position and I believe its time for me take back the office that I hold so high.

There is still so much to do for our people here in Kodiak. Small Businesses need every bit of help to get their feet off the ground in this ailing economy. The working class needs to have the right standard of living by being paid well for their work while also getting the best education to build their skills up. We need to continue to invest into the future. Technology is our future and as we have already started bringing AI and more automation to our production lines and Education institutions, I believe that we can continue to extend this research and innovation to more areas of life in Kodiak.

We shall continue to extend our hand to the labor unions and bring collective agreements between the employers and their employees to make sure there is fair play for both sides. The old Public Housing Act of 642 is out of date and much under-funded since its implementation. It is time for a new bill with more funding to bring down homelessness and poverty. With these improvements as well as the addition to more state education funding and higher teacher salaries, we can build a better tomorrow for all Kodiakians and for the future generations to come.

The New Perspective Coalition has continued to gain momentum over the past few years. We have produced grand pieces of legislation that has brought positive effects to the nation and are continuing this trend for next coming years on. But this trend can only continue with your help. If I am elected as your chancellor of this great Republic, I promise to serve all citizens of Kodiak and bring forth the New Perspective in this new era of the nation. A new era where the working class gets the right pay, where the small business owners grow in this economy, where Innovation is invested in and technology is built, where public education is well funded and teachers can afford to pay their bills, and where all Kodiakians can prosper and grow without being poor to do so! We can do this! Vote for me as your new Chancellor! Thank you!

Alexander Paramount (NUP)
Is everything ready? Good Ladies and gentlemen of our glorious and most Serene Republic! Today is yet again, another big day in our life and in electoral history as today is 672 General Election Season! And for that, ladies and gentlemen, I declare that I will run for this term’s Chancellorship!

For the last 2 NUP terms, we have worked relentlessly to strive for a better, more stable Kodiak. We succeeded in ending a civil war and have strived to help Kodiak. We have tabled plenty of beneficial bills in the past and including the present National Helpline Service, 670. That is the NUP legacy that I wish to carry on with my administration and improve upon

What will I improve in my administration? First of all, let’s start talking about education system. I wish to introduce Civic Education program to our education system. The program will aim at teaching youths about the detrimental effects of racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination on both the victims and instigators. The program will also teach our youths about solidarity, fraternity, family value, parental guidance and patriotism, we are all citizen of the Kodiak Republic and there is one thing we all must do is unite against internal and external enemies alike! Civic education program will also be used to educate people about the importance of environmental preservation, courtesy as well as anti-littering, alcohol and drugs awareness, etc. All to promote common sense in the conscience of our people. After all, a talented person without any virtue is useless. There will also be a Kodiak Pioneers program similar to the boy scouts. The program will encourage our youths to do volunteering works for the community such as picking up trash, planting more trees, self defense lessons, going on field trips to bond with nature while also teaching them about survival skills, those are just one of many benefits of the Kodiak Pioneers program. The Kodiak Pioneer program will go in hand with civic education. If civic education is about lectures in classroom, then the Kodiak Pioneers is about putting those lectures into practice

Now onto the problem of domestic abuse, I will implement Domestic Abuse Victim Protection Act to make sure that all of the abusers will be sentence to 40 years in their life for the heinous act they have committed, while simultaneously support victims by providing them free therapy service so they may recover and return to their life, regardless of their gender, ethnicity and age.

And under my administration, I will push for more subsidies for cultural tourism. This act will help our tourism industry grow, increase numbers of both domestic and foreign tourists. It will also aid in preserving and promoting cultural heritage of our great nation, especially local communities. More jobs will be created, tourists can purchase locally products which can help improving income for local business and money from tourism industry can be used to improve infrastructures Of course, I have more plans in mind, but for the sake of your time and my time, I will elaborate my other plans during the debate. I believe this introduction speech is already verbose. Thank you all for listening to my speech!

Antonio Recio (SHRIMP)

Antonio walks on to the stage, people surrounding it wearing lobster hats and waving SHRIMP/Recio's Seafood flags. Party associates enjoying plates of fresh mini shrimps along eith the supporters.

Citizens of the Most Serene Republic of Kodiak,

After three years as your Deputy Chancellor and Minister of Commerce and Labour, I am proud to announce my candidacy for Chancellor in the upcoming elections. Our coalition between SHRIMP and the National Unity Party has brought stability and reform, ensuring that Kodiak remains strong. Together, we’ve improved the Labour Act, giving businesses the freedom they need to grow, and created a stable economy.

But this is just the beginning. As Chancellor, my main objective will be to drive economic reform, create more opportunities, and lower unemployment by fostering growth and innovation. Our businesses need more help to thrive, and I will ensure they have the tools to succeed, both at home and on the global stage.

Additionally, it’s time to hold Patrick Barber accountable. He's remained unpunished for long enough, and the people want to put an end to this era of insurrection. As Chancellor, I will ensure he is prosecuted for his crimes once and for all in the name of justice.

Lastly, I am pleased to announce that the SHRIMP-NUP coalition will continue. Our work together have led to success, and together we will build on that progress, delivering economic prosperity and safeguarding our liberty.

With your support, we can ensure that Kodiak continues to lead the world in freedom, innovation, and prosperity. Let’s build a brighter future for all.

Thanks everyone. Now, my colleague Redmin Apple will take the stage.

President

Joseph Fala (KSDP)
Good Morning Duckburg!

It is so great to see this city that I have come to know in love and support for all of my life. And I am proud to be your representee to the Kodiak General Assembly.! As Duckburg and this county has gotten to know me and my values, I am proud of the accomplishments that I and my party has done to make this nation a better place for all people no matter where you came from. We have had a successful mayorship many years ago that has brought a lot of new thinking to our city. And that is what our city represents. Duckburg is home to many of Kodiak's most innovative creators known across the county. We strive for innovation in building small buesnesses across our city. And its those values alone that I wanted to bring to the capital. As an Engineer, I do not strive for political games but to actually solve problems that benefit the people of this great nation. Its because of that, under the Williams Government, we where able to pass some of the most significate investments in our rail infrostructure in years. Literally working with a closely divided assembly from left and right, we are able to bridge the divide and pass laws on a multi party basis with super majority wins. And its those values of working together that we become a better nation. And our job isn't done yet. There are still issues we have yet to address. I want to bring new businesses to our nation and incourage more people to start their own small business. I want to build a nation of hope and aspiration. And that is why, I am announcing today.... I WILL BE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY!

I intend to be that person in the room that is here to solve problems along with the chancellor to build a better nation for all and not for some. That is the way we truly solve problems like I have for years working as an engineer under NUP, KWP governments within the Peninsula and I intend to keep that promise no matter who is in power as chancellor. For the next few months, I will be campaigning across this nation meeting with all people to answer many your pressing questions and I look forward to it. I think you everyone for your time in being here today. And remember that no matter who wins this fight, we are still one Kodiak. Thank you!

Redmin P Apple (SHRIMP)
Thank you Antonio, you enabled me to get my voice out and for me to pass my first law. Without you I would be nothing in this brutal political scene. But we have to get to business. Which would be my first priority.
Dear Kodiakers from grocery workers to brokers to our asteemed Assembly Member. I as part of SHRIMP run for ASSEMBLY PRESIDENT.
The election season is up and running but there's still a lot to go. One of our more vital elections is going to be this year. That's why I am running for Assembly president.
I as some would say am fresh meat, but I assure you I am well fit for this office. The Chancellor position is as many others will say is
more is more important but without the president the government could not be capable of getting YOUR voices into the law books.
An Assembly president is vital for the smooth running of our government and YOUR voices. The debates are going to be productive and
good everyone will get to say their thoughts. I will assure you that during my term you will get a fast response from me.
We need an efficient government to do business so that's why you want me to be the head of yours. Redmin P. Apple for 672 ASSEMBLY
PRESIDENT!
He waves goodbye and as he leaves the stage the crowd cheers and starts chanting: 'REDMIN, REDMIN, REDMIN'

Joanna Sousa (KWP)
People of Kodiak,

Today I announce a late run for Presidency.
To put it simply, I see more for the Presidency in service to Kodiak than simply moderating the General Assembly, though that is an important role and crucial to the running of the Republic, so rest assured that one of my primary goals will be:

  • To ensure fair debate in the General Assembly, ensure that all perspectives are given adequate airtime, we owe it to the people that this will always be true.
  • Of course, I will as per all Presidents endeavour to ensure bills are brought to debate fairly and in line with all our expectations. It is after all important that the GA is able to debate in a prompt manner lest our Government slows to a crawl.

With all that said, I believe there is more in the role of President that can be done. More good for the Republic. The President is a representative of the people, and a representative of the heart of our Republic's legislature.

I pledge to:

  • Make it my mission to continue and finally push the law code reforms across the line (the Glocke reforms, let us appreciate his effort and the volunteers so far: https://discord.com/channels/213642650291535872/1214937987381723137 ), with the end goal a much easier to navigate and understand law archives, where all of Kodiak's citizens can find exactly what the law says without undue time wasted in lengthy delves in the archives. I am also aiming to reevaluate the archives and relevant wiki to identify where other things could be improved to enrich the information available to the citizens with the main goal to improve the GA.
  • I will work with the Chancellor, whomever they may be, to put Kodiak on the international map. That is, I will work on evolving the role of President to also aid the executive as representatives of Kodiak in foreign relations, starting with our closest neighbours that we are continuingly but gradually learning more about (OOC: it's on the wiki somewhere actually). The President represents the legislative and elected voices of the Republic, alongside the elected executive Chancellor. Together, we must endeavour to not only account for our domestic roles, but evolve our international role. I believe the position of President is perfectly placed to work with the Chancellor in this endeavour. I call on the GA to join me in this endeavour, we can do more for the Republic.

Finally let it be said:

  • I respect the code of conduct and our standing orders, I will enforce any breach, and I will expect debates to be meaningful debate about the legislation at hand, no matter which party a member is from.

Yours faithfully, Joanna Philippa Zari Sousa,
Kodiak Workers' Party
